Social care providers around the country will be expected to demonstrate good practice in meeting Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards for quality and safety.
Skill for Care has published new guidance and advice notes to help ensure providers understand what they need to do in order to comply with section 20 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 regulations, which started to be phased in from April 2010.
Meeting the workforce regulations: Skills for Care advice on CQC's workforce-specific outcomes SfC_Advice_on_meeting_the_regs highlights key mandatory, professional and sector training to help providers achieve the regulatory requirements.
The advice and guidance covers the following areas and required outcomes:
