The four national Age Concerns in the UK have joined together with Help the Aged to form new national charities dedicated to improving the lives of older people.

It updates previous guidance on the use and management of disposable gloves use as personal protective equipment in the delivery of care and as an aid to the prevention and control of infection.

The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) has published a leaflet for employers on Train to Gain. It provides an overview of the programme and the benefits of up-skilling and training employees. Benefits include staff retention, fewer job vacancies, a competitive business, higher profits and efficient, motivated staff. It states that 74% of employers using Train to Gain saw an improvement in job-related skills.
