TSIF 08-09 (NVQ and Induction Funding) now available PDF Print E-mail

For the financial year 2008-09 Care Learning is again managing a share of national funding for the voluntary and independent sector employers in the West of England (Avon) area to claim when their staff achieve NVQ units enrouteto meeting National Minimum Standards.

The funding available again this year through Care Learning is from the Skills for Care Training Strategy Implementation Fund (TSIF) and is at £65 per NVQ unit. You can only claim this funding once your staff have achieved one or more NVQ units between 1st January 2008 and 1st March 2009.

You can claim for NVQ in Health & Social Care Levels 2, 3, 4, RMA (Registered Managers Award), A1 (Assessors Award) & V1 (Verifier Award). You can claim 2 units for the A1 and 1 unit for the V1 awards.

You can also claim a maximum of £65 for a new member of staff who completes the New Common Induction Standards, or the Learning Disability Qualification (LDQ) within the above time periods.

Nominations will be invited from Care Managers who have been in post for 18 months or less. The Award aims to highlight and recognise Managers who have made a significant difference to and enhanced the quality of life of the people who use their care services, and who have inspired a better quality of care through the learning and development of the staff.
